Tested for fire to: IEC60331-2: 2009 at 830ºC for 3 hours and BS8434-2: 2003 + A2: 2009* at 970ºC for 2 hours

  • Constructed from Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP)
  • ATEX versions finished in black (RAL 9005) carbon loaded

*The BS8434-2 test was for resistance to fire alone, which follows the general pattern when a fire occurs with rapid heat build-up

and flames.

For a higher fire specification enclosure, see these stainless steel & aluminium fire-rated enclosures which have been successfully tested to meet BS6387CWZ, BS5839-1: 2013 section 26.2 e, BS EN50200: 2006 and BS 8432-2: 2003 + A2 2009. Please note that the BS6387CWZ test

comprises of separate tests for C (fire only), W (resistance to fire with water) and Z (resistance to fire and mechanical shock), which

follows the general pattern when a fire occurs: (as above for C) secondly, emergency services spray water at the fire (W), and

finally, collapse of masonry (Z).
